Trojans end season with loss in 3A Regional Championship

Friday night saw the season come to a close for Timothy Christian. The Trojans made it to the 3A Regional championship for the 2nd consecutive year. They faced a very strong North Lawndale Team which is seeded 3rd in the 22 team sectional. The Trojans got out to a slow start missing their first 8 shots and never really recovered. They fought to the end but ultimately couldn't close the gap in the 2nd half and saw their season end by a score of 65-35. The Trojans were led by Robert McGivney with 13 pts, 6 rebs, and 5 blocks.

The Trojans finished the season winning 7 of their last 9 games on the season. We finished with a record of 15-12 and 10-2 in the Metro Suburban conference. The Trojans were co-champions in the Metro-Suburban Conference in the east division. It was their first conference championship since 2008-09. Congratulations guys on a strong season!

Thank you to all of our seniors: Robert McGivney, Riley Chapman, Joe Bishop, Devin May, Brett Kwasigroch, Kollin Kaczynski, and managers Luke Wang, Jack Jeong, Erick Weisto. You have given much to our program and you will be missed.

Congratulations also to Riley Chapman and Devin May who advanced in the 3 point contest. They will shoot on Friday night at sectionals with a chance to go downstate. Sectionals are at Westinghouse. Good luck gentlemen!

Trojans win Regional Semi-final vs Westinghouse

On Wednesday night at Timothy Christian the Trojans were able to win their semi-final game vs. Chicago Westinhouse Prep by a score of 52-46. It was a fun filled atmosphere and the Trojans were led by the hot shooting of Sophomore Joey Davidson with 22 pts (5 3 pointers) and 5 rebounds. Riley Chapman chipped in 12 points. Robert McGivney had 10 rebounds to go with 6 pts. Ben Lodewyk (7 pts, 2 rebs), Joe Bishop (2 pts, 5 assists, 6 rebs), and Mitch Evenhouse (3 pts, 1 reb) rounded out the scoring on the night.

The Trojans will play Friday night at Timothy Christian in the Regional Championship vs North Lawndale Prep at 7:00 pm.
