Regional play opened Tuesday night at Westmont for the Trojans. The Trojans played Lisle High School. Once again the Trojans got off to a very poor start and Lisle led 14-5 at the end of the 1st quarter. The Trojans made a slight comeback but were still down 22-16 at the half. The Trojans then played a strong 3rd quarter outscoring the Lions 20-8 for a 36-30 lead at the end of 3. The 4th quarter was played even and the Trojans were able to sink their free throws down the stretch for a 51-45 victory.
The Trojans played a solid second half and had contributions from many. Matt Robinson (5 rebs, 2 stls, 2 assists), Chris Ridolphi (4 assists, 2 stls, 3 rebs, 7 pts), Aaron Snoeyink (1 reb), Danny Leach (3 assists, 3 rebs, 1 stl, 21 pts), Tyler VanderBrug (5 rebs, 2 assists, 1 stl, 14 pts), Luke Davidson (5 rebs, 1 stl, 1 pt), Brennen Lindsey, and Connor VanderBrug (3 rebs, 1 assist, 8 pts) all saw time in the victory.
The Trojans will play tonight (Wednesday) in the Regional Semi-finals vs. Walther Lutheran. The game is played at Westmont High School and begins at 8:10 pm. Please come out and support the team.
