The Trojans fell short on Wednesday night losing to top seed Aurora Christian 48-42 at the Aurora Christian regional. The teams played a tight first quarter but during the second quarter, the Trojans struggled offensively and trailed at the half 21-16. In the second half the Trojans would fall behind by as many as 10 pts but battle back to take a brief one point lead. The team would battle to the very end, but couldn't quite close the gap for the final score. We are very proud of the guys for the effort, hard work, and resolve needed to almost pull off the victory. Mitch Evenhouse (17 pts, 2 assists, 2 Rebs), Joey Davidson (11 pts, 5 Rebs), Ben Lodewyk (5 pts, 6 assists, 2 steals), Jonny Strube (7 pts, 3 assists, 4 Rebs), Jared Rhiner (2 pts, 1 assist, 1 reb), Josh Caver (2 rebs), Trayvon Williams (2 steals), and Ty Merrick (3 Rebs, 1 assist, 1 steal) all cracked the stat page.
The 3 point shooters will shoot on Friday night at Aurora Christian at 5:30. The Trojans end their season 11-17 and 6-6 in conference for a 4th place finish. Thank you for supporting the Trojans this past season.
Congratulations also to our freshman team who finished the season 12-12 and 7-5 in conference.
Congratulations to our sophomore team who completed an excellent season of 23-2 and 12-0 in conference play. The future looks bright for the Trojans!
