There was only one game this past week for the Trojans. On Friday night, the Rebels from Ridgewood came to the Timothy Christian gymnasium. The game was a tightly contested game on the evening as the hot shooting from Ridgewood and an 8-0 spurt by the Rebels to close the 2nd quarter turned out to be the difference.
The first quarter saw back and forth play as the Trojans held a slight advantage after one 13-12. The second quarter was an evenly played quarter until the very end of the quarter where the Trojans made a few mistakes and the Rebels capitalized to be leading 30-22 at the half. The second half was back and forth with Ridgewood increasing their lead and the Trojans battling back to close within 4. The final score was Ridgewood 60 and Timothy 50.
Junior Connor VanderBrug was a monster in the paint finishing with 18 pts and 11 rebounds to go along with 3 assists. Connor was 8-11 shooting on the evening. Danny Leach had 20 pts 2 steals and 3 assists for the evening. Luke Davidson was solid on this night with 8 pts, 4 rebounds, and 1 assist. Wes Ditchfield (3 rebs, 2 assists), Jimmy Larkin (2 pts, 3 rebs, 1 stl, 1 assist), Justin Funchess (2 pts, 1 assist), Justin Rhiner (1 reb), and George Thompson (1 reb) all cracked the scoresheet on this evening.
The Trojans showed true toughness and grit on this night coming back and competing all night long.
