Trojans Fall to Riverside-Brookfield

The Trojans were away from home once again, this time traveling to Riverside-Brookfield to play a Friday night Conference game. Both teams came out of the gate shooting and it was a back and forth first half with TC going up early and RB then taking the lead. The half ended on a 9-0 Trojans run which gave TC a one-point lead at the half. The second half though proved to be a different story as RB got hot from beyond the 3-pt line and the Trojans simply didn't have enough answers with RB eventually coming away with a 71-55 victory.

Connor VanderBrug had 24 points and 9 rebounds in the lose while Justin Rhiner contributed 12 points on 4-5 shooting from beyond the arc. Joe Bishop chipped in 7 points, 3 assists, and 2 steals and Wes Ditchfield had 4 points and 5 rebounds.

The lose dropped the Trojans record to 10-9 (5-3 conference). The Trojans play next at Elmwood Park on Tuesday, Feb. 11 at 7pm. Thanks to all those who came to cheer on the Trojans.

Note: In the second half Connor VanderBrug knocked down a 2-pt shot that put him over the 1,000 point mark for his career. For the game VanderBrug ended up scoring 24 points which puts him at 1,005 points for his career. Congratulations Connor!
