On Saturday night, the Trojans capped their successful week with a victory at Westmont. The Trojans came out a bit flat to start the game. Westmont played some stingy defense and at the end of the first quarter the Trojans found themselves down 9-8. The 2nd quarter saw the Trojans gain some momentum and make a little run to lead the half 27-22. The momentum was short-lived as Westmont came right back to cut the lead to 1 to begin the 3rd quarter. The Trojans were able to start finding a little rhythm and finished out the quarter to lead 44-32 after 3. The team was able to finish out the game with a 67-43 victory. Connor Vanderbrug finished off his solid week leading the Trojans with 23 pts, 6 rebs, 4 assists, 3 steals, and 4 blocks. Khali Valrie continued his hot shooting to finish with 17 pts. Justin Rhiner exploded for 12 pts in the 4th quarter. The Trojans will next play on Tuesday night vs Conference powerhouse Riverside Brookfield at 7:30 at Timothy Christian. Please come out and support the Trojans!
