The team had a busy, challenging and fun filled day. The morning started off by hearing a wonderful and challenging talk from Ned Colletti. Ned's wife, Gayle, is a former HS secretary of Timothy Christian and the Colletti's sent their two children through TC's HS. Ned has spent over 36 years in professional baseball as a writer, assistant GM and a GM. His talk this morning centered on being ready when opportunities present themselves. He also challenged the team to bless others more than themselves. Ned's talk will be imprinted on these boys' hearts for a long time.
After Ned's talk, we had a quick practice, which was followed by another talk by Arizona Christian University's head basketball coach, Jeff Rutter. Coach Rutter challenged the team to have a growth mindset, especially when it comes to our faith. He reminded us to never become comfortable in our walk, but to seek personal growth and aspire to reach our full potential in Christ.
Our day finished with an NBA game in which the Phoenix Suns played host to the Miami Heat. It was a fun evening and the team enjoyed going on the court after the game and taking a few shots on the hardwood. The team is now planning their chapel speech for tomorrow's talk at NorthWest Christian Schools.
Bye for now........
